Community Guidelines
Be real
- Use your own photos and your real age. You must be 18 or older.
- Don't pretend to be another person, a business or Questeryng staff.
- Keep one personal account.
Be kind
- No harassment, bullying, threats, stalking or unwanted repeated contact.
- No hate speech, or attacks on people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age.
- Take "no" for an answer, the first time.
- Don't share anyone's private information (address, phone, workplace, photos or chats) without their permission, and don't try to find out where someone lives or is.
- Don't record or photograph people at meetups without their consent, and don't post screenshots of private chats to shame or harass anyone.
Keep it appropriate
- No nudity or sexually explicit content in photos, profiles, quests or activities.
- No soliciting sex, or offering sex for money or Prestige.
- Zero tolerance for anything involving minors. We ban these accounts and report them to the authorities. See our Child Safety Standards.
- No graphic violence, and nothing that promotes self-harm.
- No threats, and no bringing weapons to meetups, quests or activities unless the activity is a lawful, clearly described one where that's expected (for example a shooting range).
Keep it legal and honest
- No selling drugs, weapons or other illegal goods and services.
- No scams, phishing, pyramid schemes, or asking for money, gift cards or crypto.
- No spam, and no advertising outside real activities, quests or organization jobs.
- No farming Prestige with fake quests, no exploiting bugs, and no bots, scraping or extra accounts.
- Don't use groups for spam, mass advertising, or recruiting into schemes.
Show up
- Honor the quests and activities you take on. If plans change, say so.
- Organizations: post real jobs and events with accurate details.
Groups and Tandem
- Group names, descriptions, emblems and chats follow the same rules as everything else on Questeryng.
- Don't post a closed group's invite link or code publicly. It's meant for the people you invite.
- Hosts: be fair when you accept or decline join requests, and don't use a group to single out or exclude people because of who they are.
- Tandem is for practicing languages. Keep it about that: no flirting or romantic advances unless you've both opted into Dating and matched there.
What happens if you break the rules
- Content can be hidden automatically when several people report it, or when our checks flag it. A moderator then reviews it.
- Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, send a warning, suspend your account for a period (read-only), or ban it permanently.
- Serious or repeated violations lead straight to a ban.
